How the calculation works
The calculator first converts mg and mcg to the same mass unit. It divides vial strength by water volume to find concentration, then divides your entered dose by that concentration to find the injection volume.
A U-100 syringe is marked in units where 100 units equal 1 mL, so the volume in mL multiplied by 100 gives the units to draw.
U-100 units = (dose ÷ (vial strength ÷ water mL)) × 100 This is a unit conversion, not dosing advice. It does not decide what you should take.
